Earlier today I saw this sweet picture that had images of things that some of us may be currently grieving and the other half of the picture were things we can all be grateful for. Just looking at it really made my heart even more grateful to be given the permission by God to feel both emotions and realities simultaneously.
It’s ok to grieve what “was” and yet still be grateful for what “is”. Jesus beautifully understood both complexities. In this time we are all learning from both ends of the contentment spectrum. I’m so grateful that we get to freely feel and express both of these “little g’s” gratefulness and grief during this time on we lean on our “Big G” God for strength and peace.
May we stand in the gap through prayer for those who are grieving more than anyone of us can imagine. We never know what side of the contentment spectrum our circumstances will have us leaning more towards. Even in it all, our forever constant is Christ; for that, our faith can stand firm! There’s a secret to contentment in crisis and His name is Jesus. Crisis at the foot of the cross looks a lot different. God is faithful! He is right in the thick of this with us. That right there is comforting! In Him is the safest place we can ever be!
Stay well you all! Praying y’all forward ♥️
